Structure
Executive and Managerial Board
The statutory co-chairs, secretary, treasurer, and heads of departments form the executive and, by extension, the managerial board. All positions are held by members and are elected by vote. They shape the long-term vision, set priorities, and support teams in day-to-day execution.
Advisory Board
A cross-sector, cross-disciplinary group of experts who share their knowledge with the community. They support the executive and managerial board with guidance and feedback, and are available to members when expertise is needed.
Departments
During the application, members select the departments they are interested in. During the interview process and admission, members are typically assigned initial tasks in one or two departments. Members are free to join teams across departments or try working in another area, but everyone will always have an assigned field of work. Every member is part of at least one department.
Research and Development
Develop and ship member-led projects at the intersection of music, engineering, and applied research. Collaborate with university chairs and companies. Outcomes range from research papers to artistic projects, including everything in between. Projects can be initiated by the community or come from external collaborations.
